Firefighters on two continents turn to Bombardier Aerospace for the world's most proven and trusted amphibious aircraft.
Bombardier Amphibious Aircraft manufactures, sells and services the Bombardier 415 and Bombardier 415 MP amphibians. We also continue to support our worldwide fleet of CL-215 and CL-215T amphibious firefighting aircraft.
History of Leadership
Our leadership in amphibious aircraft began in the mid-1940s, with the delivery of 369 Canso PBY-5A amphibians to the Royal Canadian Air Force and the United States Army Air Force.
In 1969, the CL-215 amphibious aircraft supplied a more effective way of delivering water to suppress forest fires. In 1987, Bombardier launched the CL-215T amphibious aircraft with its powerful turboprop engine and aerodynamic enhancements.
In 1994, our expertise culminated in the Bombardier 415 amphibious aircraft, which remains the world's most advanced aerial firefighter. The mission-specific Bombardier 415 MP followed in 2004.
Today, our amphibious aircraft continue to evolve and see wide service with 21 operators in 11 countries.
Dedicated Customer Support
At Bombardier Amphibious Aircraft, we understand the demanding operational environments of firefighting, transport and maritime activities. That’s why we believe that customer support − training, maintenance and operations − must be a 24/7, on-demand worldwide service.
Our highly responsive Customer Support teams in Canada and Europe are backed by Bombardier Aerospace's global experience and resources. Together, we customize our support services and programs to ensure the sustained cost-effective performance of your amphibious aircraft.
Reliable Aircraft Operation and Maintenance
Since 1969, Bombardier has acquired unique expertise operating civilian and military fleets in the Americas, Europe and Asia. This expertise equips us to cost-effectively maintain our customers’ Bombardier 415 and CL-215 amphibian fleets.
With a long-term maintenance agreement, you avoid the expense and responsibility of supporting and managing permanent infrastructures, equipment and personnel.
A short-term training and maintenance agreement ensures that your fleet of aircraft is fully operational upon delivery. It also gives you the time to acquire the expertise and personnel to operate and maintain your fleet. A gradual transfer of responsibilities over the first two to three years guarantees a smooth transition to your organization.
