Ambassador to Polish Economy Award - Poland	Bombardier Transportation in Poland has been recognised as an Ambassador of the Polish Economy, a programme organised by the Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs. Its aim is to honor examples of good business practice in international relations. Bombardier Transportation ZWUS was recognised in the category of 'Creator of 21st century solutions'.	2011
Best Rail Company Award - Italy	Our Rail Control Solutions (RCS) site in Rome has been recognised as a Pioneer of Industry and Business in Italy, by LRQA, the global certification body. The site was commended for its commitment to innovation and quality/HSE performance, including being one of the first large signalling companies in Italy to achieve IRIS certification.	2011

Distinguished Service to the Railway Industry award - Poland	Janusz Kucmin, Chief Country Representative for Poland has received a prestigious distinguished service award from the Polish railway industry during the grand Railway Business Forum members meeting in May 2011. The professional honour is awarded to railway employees for their unique professional achievements as well as to other people for their services and achievements within the scope of railway development.	2011
Engineer of the Year - IEEE's Vehicular Technology Society	Bombardier engineer Normand Tessier has been named Engineer of the Year by the New York Section of the IEEE's Vehicular Technology Society, in recognition of his "significant efforts in the area of vehicle electronics and engineering throughout his career and with Bombardier, and with various New York-area projects".	2011
Golden Statuette of Polish Business Leaders Award - Poland	Bombardier Transportation (ZWUS) Polska has received the award of the Business Centre Club (BCC) in recognition of maintaining its leading position in the Polish market and thereby confirming its prestige and experience.	2011
Extraordinary Achievement Award - Canada-China Business Excellence Awards	President and Chief Country Representative of Bombardier China, Jianwei Zhang, has been praised for his outstanding contributions to advancing the Canada-China relationship.	2010
CUTA National Transit Corporate Recognition Award - Canada	Bombardier received the award for the 60-day Olympic Line streetcar demonstation projects in Vancouver, Canada in the category “Exceptional Performance and Outstanding Achievement” under the Canadian Urban Transit Association's (CUTA) National Transit Corporate Recognition Award Program.	2010

CCBC Best Global Business Award	The award was presented by the Canada China Business Council (CCBC) in recognition of: • Success, vision, and entrepreneurship in entering into the Chinese market over the past years • Notable growth in the company’s overall business • Innovation to promote brand awareness in new markets	2008
Contributor of the Year for China	This prize was awarded by the World Railway Development and Research Society and "World Railway" magazine to Mr. Jianwei Zhang (Chief Country Representative China). He was the sole award receiver for making exceptional contributions to building prospects in the industry.	2008
Award of Special Contribution to China’s Rail Transit Equipment Localization	Bombardier won the 2008 award for Special Contribution to China’s Localization of Rail Transit Equipment jointly organized by two media organizations "People’s Railway" and "Rail Transit" in addition to China Rail Transit Promotion Alliance.	2008
Top 100 Fast Company Prize	The award was presented by "Business Watch" magazine to the company for its excellence in taking fast action to adapt to market changes and gain market share.	2008
Best Global Project to Sign Award - South Africa	The award was given to the Gautrain project for its unique engineering and socio-economic developmental requirements and in recognition of the team of lawyers who were able to put the deal together.	2008
International Bridge Award for Commerce - Pittsburgh, USA	The award recognized successful efforts in building bridges between the Pittsburgh region and other parts of the world. Bombardier Transportation was selected for recognition in the category of corporations with sales revenues between $100 million and $1 billion USD.	2007

Innovation business award - Poland	Presented in the prestigious Ernest Malinowski Contest, Bombardier Transportation's new EBI Tool maintenance and diagnostics system won in the infrastructure category for ‘most interesting product and technical innovation used in the railway industry’.	2011
Tell award - Switzerland	Bombardier Transportation has received the Tell Award for the most significant technology project in Switzerland in recognition of the product development for the TWINDEXX Swiss Express intercity trains equiped with the MITRAC propulsion and control system.	2011
International environment award Ökoglobe - Germany	The FLEXITY Berlin tram developed by Bombardier Transportation together with the operator Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG) has been awaded second place in the Ökoglobe competition in the category 'Innovations in public transportation". The environment price has been awarded primarily for the sustainable concept of the tram especially designed for Berlin and the consistency in its introduction.	2011
Award for “Most Innovative Use of Technology” at Middle East Rail Conference, Abu Dhabi, UAE	Bombardier won the Middle East Rail Award in the category ‘Most innovative use of technology’ for its game-changing PRIMOVE system. Identified as the industry’s leading innovator, the jury recognized Bombardier’s passion for innovation to set new standards in electric mobility while providing a smart and competitive solution for urban transportation.	2011
Top Tech Innovations Awards, Mass Transit Magazine - USA	Bombardier's efforts to implement a web-based Learning Management System at New Jersey Transit in 2009 was recognised as one of 2009's technological advances that have made significant contributions to the public transit industry.	2009
Asset Management Innovation Award - Institution of Engineering and Technology, London, United Kingdom	The BOMBARDIER ORBITA solution won its second innovation award, recognising Bombardier's leadership in the management of rail vehicle maintenance.	2009

Award for Engineering at the Railway Innovation Awards - London, United Kingdom	Bombardier Transportation was presented with the award for Engineering at the Railway Innovation Awards 2009. This accolade was received for Bombardier’s innovative and groundbreaking service capability, BOMBARDIER ORBITA.	2009
Silver Innovation Award for PRIMOVE - Utrecht, Netherlands	BOMBARDIER PRIMOVE won the “Silver” Innovation Award at RailTech Europe 2009 (NL-Utrecht), the 7th international conference and exhibition on rail technology. Our PRIMOVE technology was praised for enabling catenary-free and contactless operation for trams.	2009
Public Transport Innovation Award for MITRAC Energy Saver - Freiburg, Germany	The local transport company Rhein-Neckar-Verkehr GmbH was awarded the innovation prize at the 4^th Public Transport Innovation Congress for the deployment of the MITRAC Energy Saver, developed by Bombardier Transportation.	2009

Security Innovation of the Year Award	The SEKURFLO transit security solution won the prestigious award for Security Innovation of the Year at the recent Railway Interiors Innovation and Excellence Awards 2008 ceremony held in The Netherlands.	2008
Top Ten Leaders of Technology Innovation - China's Transportation Industry Prize	The prize was jointly awarded by two media organizations "People’s Railway" and "Rail Transit" as well as China Rail Transit Promotion Alliance to Mr. Jianwei Zhang (Chief Country Representative China). It was given to him for his influential management of people in China's transportation industry who demonstrated outstanding leadership and unparalleled technological innovation in the industry.	2008

Contract Partner of the year Award - UK	Bombardier’s UK depot at Crofton has won the award of Contract Partner of the year 2011 for customer excellence from First TransPennine Express (FTPE) trains. Key areas that Crofton has addressed to achieve the award include the depot’s Safety First Approach.	2011
Worldwide Supplier of the Year award - UK Light Rail Awards	For the second year running, Bombardier Transportation received the Worldwide Supplier of the Year award, in recognition of the 100,000 Bombardier trams and railcars running worldwide.	2011
Knowledge Transfer Partnership Business Impact Award - UK	The UK government-backed Technology Strategy Board has presented their ‘Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) Business Impact Award’ to Bombardier Transportation's signalling division for its partnership and collaborative work with the University of Plymouth on the development of the latest generation EBI Track 400 train detection unit.	2011
Worldwide Supplier of the Year award - UK Light Rail Awards	Bombardier Transportation was the first winner of the new Worldwide Supplier of the Year award, in recognition of its projects in Toronto, Canada; Krakow, Poland; Stockholm, Sweden; and Kassel and Leipzig in Germany.	2011
Highly Commended in the category Supplier of the Year - UK Light Rail Awards	Bombardier Transportation was Highly Commended in the category Supplier of the Year in recognition of the project in Manchester, UK, where Bombardier has sold 62 light rail vehicles to date.	2010
Contract Partner of the Year Award - Manchester, United Kingdom	Bombardier's Services team at Crofton recognised at First TransPennine Express Annual Customer Excellence Awards for its singular customer focus, high quality maintenance provision, open and honest relationship and flexibility.	2009
Customer Care Award - New York, USA	Systems employees at the AirTrain JFK Service Delivery Center in New York were presented with the John F. Kennedy International Airport’s 2007 Customer Care award for Best Performance by a Port Authority Contractor. Bombardier was recognized for its "hard work and commitment in achieving high ratings" during its annual quality assurance inspections. This is the second year that Bombardier won this award for its efforts in maintaining the cleanliness and condition of the AirTrain system.	2007

Harvey Communication Measurement Award	The award was presented in recognition of advertising which achieved the highest readership response from readers of the "Congressional Quarterly Today". Exhibition Marketing Award of the International Association of Public Transportation (UITP) - Vienna, Austria	Bombardier Transportation received the 2009 Exhibition Marketing Award of the International Association of Public Transportation (UITP). The award was presented to Bombardier during the opening ceremony of the 58th UITP World Congress and Exhibition in recognition of its comprehensive, highly professional and diversified marketing strategy.	2009
Intermedia-globe Silver Award - Hamburg, Germany	Bombardier Transportation received the Intermedia-globe Silver Award in the "Public Relations: Environment-Conservation-Recylcling" category at the WorldMediaFestival. As one of the world's highest honours in audiovisual competition, the BOMBARDIER ECO4 video featuring Bombardier's new formula for Total Train Performance and ecoactive technologies gained recognition.	2009

WorldMediaFestival - Hamburg, Germany	The film The Climate is Right for Trains received an intermedia-globe Silver Award for "successful modern media communication solutions” in the Public Relations category.	2008
Grafika Prize	Designed by Mosaic Design, Bombardier’s The Climate is Right for Trains campaign won a 2008 Grafika prize, in the Corporate Web site category. The Grafika prizes are awarded every year by "Infopresse" to the best productions in graphical design in Quebec, Canada.	2008
APTA AdWheel Awards	The APTA AdWheel awards recognised excellence in public transportation marketing and communications for the Streetcar Redefined campaign.	2008

Red Dot Design Award - Germany	The new REGINA X55 intercity train, which entered service with Sweden’s SJ in February 2012, has been awarded the prestigious Red Dot Design Award by Germany’s renowned Design Zentrum Nordrhein-Westfalen. The groundbreaking train’s design by LundbergDesign, a consultancy in Stockholm, was selected from a field of entries by 1,800 manufacturers and designers from 58 countries. The award jury praised the contrast between a clean exterior and a warm and homelike interior.	2012
Good Design Award - USA	The ZEFIRO 380 very high speed train won the Good Design Award of the Chicago Athenaeum, one of the oldest design prices worldwde. This is the third time a Bombardier vehicle wins this prize. Previous winners are the Sprinter trains for the Netherlands and the TALENT 2 EMUs.	2011
iF product design award - Germany	The prestigious iF product design award is presented to Bombardier Transportation for the exterior design of the ZEFIRO 380 very high speed train, recognised for its groundbreaking fusion of aerodynamic efficiency with a distinctive appearance reflecting our state-of-the-art technologies.	2011
IEHF’s Ergonomics Design Award (EDA)	Bombardier Transportation in Derby has won the prestigious Ergonomics Design Award (EDA) by the Institute of Ergonomics & Human Factors (IEHF) for the design of new rolling stock for the London tube network.	2011
Red Dot Design Award	The FLEXITY Outlook tram (Cityrunner) designed by Peter Döllmann for the Austrian City of Linz has received the red dot Design Award ‘honourable mention‘ in the category Automobile & Transportation.	2010
