The Lisbon Metro units have been delivered to Metropolitano de Lisboa to provide efficient and comfortable services for passengers.
The entire scope of delivery, comprising a total of 147 units and four series -- ML90, ML95, ML97, and ML99 -- the units have the standard formation of two driver motor cars and one trailer car.
The car body cages are made from non-rusting stainless steel, and are provided with fibre compound material cladding to ensure, in particular internally, a comfortable environment for the passengers.
Bombardier Transportation was fully responsible for the design, construction and management of the cars. The production series ML97 and 99 are equipped with wide state-of-the-art transition zones and thus provide high levels of safety for the passengers and optimised passenger distribution in the train during the boarding and alighting phases.
